Kasu
Yuuki's project
Information about Kasu is terribly hard to find, so there isn't a whole lot to tell about this band. It's Yuuki's project together with Shinichiro from Jully, former vocalist of Hotaru. They started around the summer of 2003 and so far they've released one single with two songs. They've performed a few times together, especially at events with more session bands/side projects, but it seems they haven't done so for several years.
Their music is kind of hard to describe, since the two songs are pretty different from each other. Aishuu iro no kaaten is a jazzy guitar song, and Kagi no Kakaru heya is an upbeat rock song.
In an interview with JaME, Yuuki explained that he started the project with Shinichirou because Naoki had rejected the songs to be used for Jinkaku Radio. They're not planning to do anything new with the project, unless a good opportunity and good song material for it comes up. Yuuki also explained how they ended up with the name 'Kasu': "We punned a little bit, 'yuzu' (citrus fruit) to 'kuzu' (junk), and 'kuzu' to 'kasu' (scum)! (bursts out laughing). We are scum, aren’t we."
