Rai, (sometimes written as 'Lai' in romaji) joined Jinkaku Radio as an official support member in July 2003. He worked with Yuuki before, because they were both in the project/band +Isolation+. They did a few performances together, and released a song (0-157) with Yuuki as vocalist. Rai also recorded the Shouko album with them, but it was only a month later before he became supporting guitarist officially. He also played the guitars and bass for Kasu, Yuuki's solo project.
He was in the bands Falcioune, Glory factory and Isolation before, so he has a bit of a background already. He seems to be a really talented guitarist with amazing skills and great technique. It seems he was pretty popular amongst the Japanese fans, because of his young age. Some people have a hard time to tell wether it's Rai or Maya because of the glasses, but you can easily recognize him with his lip piercing.
Unfortunately, in November 2006 it was announced that Rai would leave the band. The last concert he played with Jinkaku Radio was on December 21st. He is currently part of the band SwallowtaiL. In 2009, he did perform live with Jinkaku Radio again and they even held a concert called "Rai Radio Theater," though it seems John and he are switching once in a while, depending on their availability.
